Free Writting...

For my first L.A. free write of the semester I thought about watching a meteor shower at the lake when I was a kid. Free writing is class is usually pretty uninspired for me but I actually liked this one...

The air brushes my face and arms, just slightly warmer than the water that surrounds me. The cool silver of the full moon turns the lake into a dazzling display of flickering light. I breathe slowly and evenly and feel a deep and warming since of peace. Light begins to line the night sky. Slowly at first, one or two little streaks of stardust. Then the sky begins to resemble the lake, as a hail of dust meets the atmosphere.

We will have to complete a story for the class. I will be brain storming. Hopefully I will be able to write something good, in which case I will share it here :)

Good luck with your writing. Illness has caused my writing to slow down this month, but I have a goal to mail at least 10 queries for my novel out by September 15th. Share away what you are writing in your class.
